People ask me all the time, “How can you be so successful in such hard times?” and I tell them it is because we treat every customer the same. It doesn’t matter if they are looking at one honeycomb shade, an entire house of motorized Silhouette® window shadings, or simply need a blind repaired or cleaned. They all deserve our time and expertise. This philosophy has served us well and in 2012, in unprecedented times, we opened our third Hunter Douglas Gallery location in the Cleveland, OH area.
We are family owned and operated. My daughter Nicole, my son Adam and I work with our customers to ensure their shopping experience is enjoyable and when the job it done they are completely satisfied.
We consider ourselves educators. There are numerous window-covering products available today, each with their own unique features and benefits, that if we don’t take the time to learn about the customers’ needs first, they could purchase the wrong product. Simple questions like “are you a tilter or a lifter?” or “do you want to darken the room or just filter out the sun?” can make a huge difference on what products we might suggest to give the customers the best shopping experience possible.
Our Road To Success in Window Treatments
Our tried-and-true process ensures we exceed our customers’ expectations on every project.
- In each of our Galleries we have full-size displays to allow the customer to touch and operate the numerous window treatments available. Or, if the customer prefers, we bring the showroom to them.
- Regardless, we will always come to the home to measure, ensure the color they select complements their home décor, and return to professionally install the window treatments.
- After installation, we walk the customer through how to operate and maintain their new window treatments.
- Then a few days later we check back with the customer to see how they are enjoying their new window treatments and see if they have any additional questions.
- Lastly, we listen to our customers. For example, we were asked so frequently to recommend a window treatment cleaning service that we decided to purchase an ultrasonic cleaning machine so we could add this benefit to our product offering.
